The Sunsphere is Knoxville, Tennessee’s iconic 1982 World’s Fair landmark, offering 360-degree panoramic views of downtown, World’s Fair Park, the University of Tennessee, and the Great Smoky Mountains.
Visitors begin at the 3rd Floor Welcome Center for ticketing, regional souvenirs, and historical insights from local staff. The experience continues on the 4th Floor Observation Deck, which features interactive educational exhibits, a comprehensive 1982 World’s Fair timeline gallery, and unmatched views of the Tennessee River and city skyline.
Please Note: The Sunsphere Observation Deck is closed daily 12:30-1:30 (excluding Sundays).
Purchase Tickets online, or at the Sunsphere Welcome Center (level 3).
Arrive to the Welcome Center (level 3) at your indicated reservation time. An associate will check you in and grant admission via elevator to the Observation Deck. Do not enter elevators without associate present—keycard access is required.

Veterans: $1 off ticket price; only available for tickets purchased in person
