Skirting three sides of the park, the Tennessee River provides paddling and fishing opportunities for Carl Cowan Park visitors. Anglers can catch their limit from the fishing pier or along the banks. Pristine waterfront views abound here! On the land side, there are sport fields, basketball and tennis courts, playgrounds and both paved and natural surface trails. From the north side of the park, the nature trail winds through the forest, fringing the shoreline as it makes it's way over to Admiral Farragut Park — a beautiful trail for viewing songbirds and waterfowl. Kids and dogs will enjoy splashing in the surf along the way. And for those hot summer months, let the kids prance through the fountains at the refreshing splash pad. Powell Station Park Splash Pad

Situated next to Powell High School, there is a skate park, playground, and splash pad. The paved loop circles the play area and connects with the Powell Greenway, while the nature trail winds over to the creek. Children can enjoy the splash pad in the warm summer heat. Bordered by a hardwood ridge on the north and a wetland pond on the south, New Harvest Park features scenic walking loops both paved and natural surface. There is a playground and splash pad for the kids to enjoy plus an amphitheater and community building for gatherings. McFee Park is much greener than the average park! Environmentally that is. Newly designed, the park features solar panels, permeable pavers, LED lighting, bios wales, rain gardens, and natural lighting in the restrooms. Along with these environmentally healthy elements, the park promotes recreational benefits — lighted walk trails, two lighted fields, a fun, energixing splash pad and playground area that is ADA accessible. There are picnic facilities and restrooms. The McFee Rd Greenway parallels McFee Road offering a connection to the Park. This is a favorite start location for many bicycling rides.
