Lakeshore Park is the most utilized public green space in Knoxville. The park’s 185 acres welcome hundreds of thousands of visitors each year who use its walking trails, athletic fields, playgrounds, event spaces and open green areas and enjoy spectacular views of the Tennessee River and Great Smoky Mountains. The park trail system is a total of 4 miles with a riverwalk through a natural marsh and woodlands on the banks of the Tennessee River. The park has a two acre Bermuda grass field which can hold special events of up to 1500 people, with adjacent restrooms and temporary parking areas. Entrances: Greenway: 5908 Lyons View Dr Park: 6410 S. Northshore Drive Directions: From I-40, take the Papermill Dr exit #383 and go south on Northshore Drive. Travel 1.5 miles and the Lakeshore Institute will be on your left. For the Greenway trailhead, turn left on Lyons View Rd and the park entrance will be on your right. Park in the first parking area to the left.
