The Tuxedo #2 Cocktail

Happy hour is here!  Enjoy this new series featuring local cocktail creations from creative bartenders and mixologists at various Knoxville establishments.  Today we’re featuring Peter Kern Library, a cozy speakeasy where menus are discreetly disguised in old books and drinks mostly named after literary characters.  Try your hand at the recipe below and enjoy a glass of this classic 1930 cocktail, and consider stopping by the Peter Kern Library on your next visit to Knoxville – cheers!

Ingredients

  • 2oz Ford’s Gin 
  • .75oz Dolin Dry vermouth  
  • .25oz Luxardo maraschino liqueur 
  • 2 dashes Regan’s orange bitters 
  • Absinthe Rinse 

Instructions

Add all ingredients into mixing glass.  Add ice (enough to cover liquid) and stir for 60-90 seconds.  Strain into cocktail glass and enjoy!
