The Crowne Plaza Knoxville is one of only three of 106 Crowne Plaza hotels in the western hemisphere to earn its parent company’s 2024 top award for excellence.
The Intercontinental Hotels Group (IHG) Torchbearer Award is the highest honor a hotel can earn from IHG, which has 4,500 regional hotels in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Latin
America, and South America, in 20 brands. The award is earned principally through scores for guest satisfaction.
“What makes the Torchbearer award particularly meaningful for all of us at the Crowne Plaza is that it’s the result of how our customers rated their experience with us,” said Ken Knight, Crowne Plaza Knoxville general manager. “Crowne Plaza is recognized as an upmarket brand, and for Knoxville’s Crowne Plaza to achieve one of the three Torchbearer awards makes a statement about the work our team does for our customers.”
The Crowne Plaza is routinely in IHG hotels’ top tier in customer satisfaction, and has earned several corporate excellence awards apart from the Torchbearer.
The 195-room Crowne Plaza Knoxville is located 401 West Summit Hill Drive in downtown Knoxville. Among the hotel’s amenities are a 3,000 square-foot fitness center, an indoor swimming pool, full-service restaurant and lounge, and 15,000 square feet of meeting space that can accommodate small groups to up to 1,200 people.
