Join the American Red Cross of East Tennessee and Visit Knoxville and ride in Pedal for the Red on Saturday, June 24, 2017. Pedal for the Red is a fun and friendly ride benefiting the life-saving work of the American Red Cross.

The 2017 USA Cycling Pro National Championships will take place in Knoxville, Tennessee June 24-25.  The weekend will kick off with Pedal for the Red, followed by the USA Cycling Pro Time Trials.  On June 24, participants of Pedal for the Red will have the unique opportunity to ride the same closed course as the Pros.  After the Pedal, participants will be able to watch the best cyclists in the country race for the Pro Time Trials national championship.  The USA Cycling Pro Road Championships will take place the following day, on June 25.

You don’t have to be a Pro to be a part of Knoxville’s first ever championship cycling weekend.  Join Pedal for the Red, a fun ride with an important goal: To support the vital work of the American Red Cross in East Tennessee.

“The inspiration for Pedal for the Red came from the late Sam Beall.  Sam loved cycling and wanted to see the sport grow in East Tennessee.  He especially enjoyed seeing young people and families participate in adventures like this together. So the idea for a family friendly, community ride started with my conversations with him.”

                                                                 - Joe Thompson, Red Cross Board

Whether you’re riding or showing support, you can contribute to the American Red Cross through the Pedal for the Red Peer-to-Peer Fundraising campaign.  The dollars you raise will provide lifesaving support for people devastated by disasters, offer support to military families and help train people in lifesaving skills like CPR.

The vital work of the American Red Cross is made possible by people like you.  Get rolling with Peer-to-Peer fundraising then ride the Pedal towards one great goal.
