Symphony House Fashion Show

This year elle had a closet at the Symphony Show House in Jefferson Park. Every year the Knoxville Symphony League puts on a show house where different businesses come in a basically decorate each room. We sponsored a closet (see picture below) for one of the upstairs bedrooms. There are a lot of events that go on at the house during the time, and one of the events was a ladies tea which incorporated a fashion show. Most businesses that sponsored closets participated, and we had a great time!

Our fabulous models Elisa and Meagan!
Great job girls!

Welcome to elle boutique's blog!

Welcome to elle boutique's blog! We are excited that you stopped by to check us out, and we hope you'll come back or follow our blog : ) We're new to blogging, but we hope this is a fun way for you to see what's going on at the store, read about tips and trends, and learn more about us and the store.

In case you don't know us or haven't been into the store, let us introduce ourselves. Sarah and I (Jennifer) opened elle in May 2007, and we have had an amazing time the past 2 years! We have known each other since middle school (about 14 years now), and even back then, owning our own boutique was something we talked about. Sarah's grandmother owned a store for over 30 years in Beaufort, North Carolina, so she has retail in her blood. She grew up going to her grandmother's store and helping out even on trips back to visit family; she always knew this was what she wanted to do. Sarah's family moved to Knoxville during elementary school, and she has been in Knoxville since then; she graduated from UT (go orange!) with a BA in Retail and Consumer Science, so she always knew that retail was in the cards! I also moved to Knoxville in early elementary school and grew up around here as well; I graduated with a degree in Political Science and History from Samford University and came back to Knoxville after graduation (obviously I'm not really using my degree but still enjoy history and politics!). We both got married the summer after college graduation (we got married a month apart and were in each other's weddings), and shortly thereafter, we started to seriously talk about opening our own boutique in Knoxville. From there, the rest is history! We are blessed to have a wonderful friendship, and we work incredibly well together. Scarily enough, we often show up to work or things outside work wearing the same outfit (it's kind of hilarious and scary at the same time!) Sometimes our husbands even end up matching...yes, this is very embarassing for them too. We try to avoid this!

Anyway, that's just a little about us; again, thanks for stopping by, and we hope you'll check back!
