Agricultural Conferences in Knoxville

Knoxville is “growing” in large part due to the research and work of the University of Tennessee Institute of Agriculture. “The Institute is truly at the core of the University of Tennessee land-grant mission of educating, discovering and connecting,” says  Dr. Larry Arrington, Chancellor of Agriculture.

The Institute’s four major units are the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, the College of Veterinary Medicine, UT AgResearch and UT Extension. Clientele include students, families, farmers, 4-H groups, agribusiness and the general public.

Faculty here continues to impact the world around us with their knowledge and research.

Venue of Interest

Knoxville is home to Chilhowee Park, a facility that has played host to the Tennessee Valley Fair for more than 95 years. The facility was also home to the 2014 American Poultry Association National Meet, and hosts numerous agricultural groups annually, including the Tennessee Valley Cat Fanciers, Smoky Mountain Dairy Goat Association, and the Tennessee Valley Kennel Club.  The park's barns and covered arenas make the facility ideal for shows of all kinds.

"Southern Chapter ISA would like to thank Visit Knoxville for the excellent work to make our 2016 Annual Conference and Tradeshow one of our best! I only wished I had the response and work from future host cities that they gave to our Association on behalf of your City."
