The newest Knox County Park offers 33 acres of fun for families and their canine buddies. The park features a playground, picnic pavilion, a 9-hole disc golf and foot golf course, and two walking trails. The paved trail is 0.2 miles in length and the natural surface trail is about 1 mile starting and ending at the kiosk.
The PetSafe Dog Park has a 7-acre play area for large dogs which includes shelter, water fountain, and walking path. The 1-acre small dog park includes shelter and a water fountain.
Disc/Foot Golf is played like traditional golf, but with flying discs or soccer balls instead of golf balls and clubs. One point (stroke) is counted each time the disc is thrown or ball is kicked. The goal is to play each hole in the fewest "strokes" possible. The player with the lowest total strokes for the entire course wins. There are holes with flags for the soccer balls near the disc golf baskets, and the tee pads are the same. Each tee pad show the distances to either the basket or hole.
