Norris Dam State Park Hiking Trails
Lake City, TN 37769
Norris Dam State Park provides trail systems in three separate areas and on both sides of Norris Lake. In total, there are 20 miles of wonderful multi-use, natural surface trails. Ten miles of trail lie on the west side of the lake and the other 10 on the east side abutting and connecting to the Norris Watershed Trail System. Within the Park, the Andrew Ridge Trail System has 5.6 miles of wooded trails located near the campground and another 1.5 miles of trail off Village Green Drive. The Marine Railway Loop offers 4.3 miles of trail and lies 0.2 outside the park entrance on Hwy 441. The lake trails can be accessed by parking at the Visitor's Center east of the dam or from the Norris Watershed Trails.
Andrew Ridge Trails consist of old roadbeds and wider singletrack with a minimum amount of elevation change. These are fairly easy to moderate in difficulty.
Marine Railway Loop is a figure eight with a north loop and a south loop. There is a steep climb from the maintenance building to the powerline on the south loop.
The Lake Trails are wide singletrack that follow the contour of the lake. There are several trail options for connecting to the Norris Watershed Trails, which climb from the shoreline to the hillier section of the Park.
