Knoxville On The Water Meetup
Knoxville, TN 37922
This group is about being on the water, biking greenways, mountain biking, and other outdoor activities. This club is a collection of individuals who share a common interest in paddling, watercraft on the rivers, and lakes. The purpose of the club is to provide a framework in which individuals have the opportunity to meet other paddlers, bikers, share experiences, gain knowledge, organize trips, and cooperatively support causes that result in river preservation, restoration, access and general conservation issues. We have experienced and non-experienced paddlers and bikers from the East Tennessee area and the US.
The club offers many different types of activities from casual lake paddling to extended lake tripping, easy whitewater to extreme, and the opportunity to join others on river trips. The club offers trips at all skill levels from beginner to expert. Typical rivers paddled by our group are The Clinch River, Tennessee River, Little River, Fort Loudon Lake, Panther Creek Park on Cherokee Lake, the Ocoee River, and the Nantahala. We have a few members with sail boats that would like to get other people interested in the sport. If you have had some paddling instruction and you would like to be taken down new rivers and lakes please join us.
