Haw Ridge Park is the place to go for multi-use trails! It's a favorite destination for cross-country runners, hikers and mountain bikers. Featuring almost 30 miles of singletrack mixed with a few old connecting roads, you’ll want to be sure and bring a trail map before venturing out on this braid of trails. Although the trails are signed and numbered, it sometimes isn't enough for the sizable amount of interweaving, twisting and turning that occurs. It's easy to get off course! Good news is that there are trails to accommodate all skill and endurance levels. For an easier course, try the trails that contour the shoreline. These are not as rugged or aerobically difficult as those that weave through the heart of the park. The shoreline trails stay muddy longer after wet weather and should be avoided to help keep the trails in good condition. Trail workers have built a large number of bridges, but it's still best to avoid the area after inclement weather. There are a number of fun events hosted at Haw Ridge throughout the year, you'll want to keep an eye on our events calendar. From wildflower hikes to trail runs to mountain bike races - the park is never quiet!
