Birding: Shorebirds, waterfowl, and herons and egrets are common at this site. A paved walking trail stretches .75 miles along the edge of the wetlands. It is also common for birders to walk a mile along the powerlines north of the paved trail. You can bird from your car around the eastern side of the wetlands. Rare species reported include White Ibises, little blue herons, and cattle egrets.
