French Memorial Park sits adjacent to the Howard Pinkston Library and connects with the Howard Pinkston Greenway that winds over to Bonnie Kate Elementary school. There are two soccer fields which provide a large play area for romping with the kids and dogs when there isn't a game or practice. The playground, exercise yard at the library, and the walking trail that circumvents the park are great for getting in a workout — the kids, dogs and grownups all benefit. The restrooms are open in warm months, the library can be used during the winter when open. This is a favorite starting location for road cyclists. Many club rides leave from the park riding south all the way to Townsend!
