Fort Dickerson Park Trails

3000 Fort Dickerson Road | Knoxville, TN 37920
Knoxville, TN 37920
Region: South

Knoxville's closest urban trails are just across the Tennessee River from downtown! The 1 mile out-and-back trail can be accessed from either entrance to Fort Dickerson Park. From the main entrance off Chapman Highway, the trail is a little hard to find — walk across the open field to the right of the quarry overlook and head towards the powerlines. You'll soon pick up a mowed path that will lead to the wooded singeltrack trail. Steep in places, this multi-use trail drops down to the Augusta Street entrance where it connects with the Fort Dickerson Greenway. Follow the greenway over to the scenic waters along the quarry's edge.
