Join us for a free Teacher Workshop for 5th-12th grade teachers, “Examining the Civil War in Knoxville through its Fortifications Using Primary Documents and Geospatial Technologies.”

The McClung Museum, East Tennessee Historical Society, University of Tennessee Department of Geography, and the Tennessee Geographic Alliance will hold the workshop at the East Tennessee Historical Society.

Teachers will learn how to use new mapping technologies to teach their students about local Civil War history. The workshop is free and includes lunch and an excursion to local sites, Fort Dickerson and Fort Higley. All materials and transportation included.
