Come celebrate National Public Lands Day by joining the staff of Seven Islands on a hike to explore our newest section of trail on the Upland Outer Loop! We have done some rerouting of the Upland Outer Loop Trail and want to provide participants with a chance to explore the newest section of trail and learn about some of the birds, plants, trees, and other wildlife that call Seven Islands home. The hike will be approximately 2.0 miles on grass/dirt trails. There will be a gradual incline to the trail in the beginning and then it will level off for awhile. After exploring the new section of trail, the group will descend down towards the Seven Islands Loop Trail and connect back to the paved ADA Trail to the Bluebird Barn.
We are limiting the group size to 15 participants for each hike to allow for more social distancing. Please bring a face mask with you for times when you are unable to maintain 6 feet of distance between yourself/your group and others. Please wear appropriate footwear, bring plenty of water, bug spray, or snacks with you. Please meet your guide at the Bluebird Barn by 7:30 AM. If the main parking lot is full, please plan on parking at the overflow lot located down by the boat launch. This is a free event, but if you would like to make a donation to the park when you register, please select from one of the ticket/donation options.
If you have any questions regarding this hike, please contact Ranger Stephanie at 865-407-8335 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Hope you can join us to celebrate National Public Lands Day on September 26, 2020!
***Pre-Registration is REQUIRED for this hike.
