The 2nd Annual MindfulnessTN symposium will be held at the Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday, May 6th. The goal of MindfulnessTN is to raise awareness of mindfulness meditation-based research and its impact on health and well-being.
Top academic minds from the Wake Forest School of Medicine, Carnegie Mellon University, the University of Toronto, and the University of California, San Francisco will present on topics ranging from mindfulness for stress reduction, pain relief, and general health benefits.
General Admission tickets cost $10.00. Student tickets are free to students with a valid and current student ID. Health care professionals may register for 3.25 hours of CME/CEU credits via the MindfulnessTN website.
All proceeds from MindfulnessTN will be donated to the Pain and Palliative Care Service at East Tennessee Children's Hospital. MindfulnessTN donated $25,000 to the hospital in 2016.
