Wait, how early are we getting up?! That is the natural first thought when going out to look and listen for migratory birds. However, these birds are most active during the dawn and pre-dawn hours. Getting up early means you get to be a part of a mystical world that few people even know exist. During our walk we will look for migrants, listen to songs, and learn about what it takes to be a migratory bird. Come take a deep dive into our special spring guests.
Bring walking shoes, long pants, a journal to take notes, clothes for rain or cold, water bottle, sunscreen, and binoculars. Ijams does have binoculars to borrow if you do not have your own pair, or want to try out a new pair.
We will meet at the small parking lot at Sharp's Ridge, and there are no restrooms at the park. This program meets at Sharp's Ridge, and directions will be provided via email before the class. Recommended for ages 18 and up.
