About

In these uncertain times, it is more important than ever to learn from our ancestors. Come on out and learn how they preserved their food with Board Member Jim Buckenmyer. This workshop will cover life before even canning was a possibility. We will cover smoking, salting, pickling, drying, and many other preservation techniques that you can use to create your own food stores at home.

Like all of Jim's workshops, this will be a hands-on experience so you can learn by doing. Bring your favorite dish to share with everyone for our community lunch.

Seating may be limited, so make your reservations today. Tickets are available via Facebook or Eventbrite.
For questions or help purchasing tickets online, please call Marble Springs State Historic Site at (865)-573-5508.
