The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual citizen science event that encourages people to get out to identify and count birds all around the world. We will be birding along the trails at Seven Islands while learning more about the Great Backyard Bird Count. You will learn the basics of birding, including tips for identification, bird songs, and the best tools and resources for beginning birders. You will also learn how to use the eBird to make and submit lists of the birds you see.
Come prepared with good walking shoes, water, field guides (optional), and binoculars.
Seven Islands State Park is dedicated to the health and safety of our visitors. This program will be limited to only 10 participants. Everyone is required to bring a mask in case there are times when social distancing is difficult. Please contact Ranger Clare at email@example.com with any questions.
Meet at 9:30AM at the Bluebird Barn.
