Local jazz musician, Kelle Jolly, presents the 2nd annual Women in Jazz Jam Festival, March 10-12, 2017 in Knoxville, TN.
Back by popular demand, the Women in Jazz Jam Festival Band will return to the Knoxville Museum of Art’s Alive After Five on Friday, March 10. Last year, this concert was standing room only and broke attendance records.
Saturday’s events will be held at Scruffy City Hall. In the afternoon, enjoy a free poetry reading and a jam session for children led by guitarist David Bivens. In the evening, Katy Free, Shayla McDaniel & The 5th Woman will perform before headliner, Liz Brasher’s concert. Brasher is an exciting and dynamic multi-instrumentalist with Dominican and Italian roots.
Sunday’s concert at The Red Piano Lounge includes special guest, Laura Theodore. She is a recording artist, author, and host of a vegan cooking show, Jazzy Vegetarian on public television’s Create channel. Local artists will also be performing.
