Visit Knoxville is proud to announce Chad Culver, CSEE, Senior Director for Visit Knoxville Sports Commission, was recognized as a “Game Changer” by Connect Sports, a national, B2B magazine that provides resources and ideas to professionals and planners in the sports tourism industry.

Peers in the sports events world nominated Culver as an industry leader. Nominations were received from across the country, then reviewed and evaluated by the Connect Sports staff based on references, industry involvement and other resources. An annual feature in Connect Sports magazine, “Game Changers” honors innovative leaders who have earned respect from industry professionals and media. Winners appear in Connect Sports magazine’s “Game Changers” feature in the Fall 2020 issue.

“On behalf of our entire team, we are so proud of Chad, his accomplishments and the accomplishments of this entire team,” said Kim Bumpas, President of Visit Knoxville. “Chad showcases the best of Knoxville and those efforts are consistently rewarded by welcoming top-tier events to our destination.”

“It is an incredible honor to be recognized as a Game Changer by my peers in the industry,” said Culver. “These fellow leaders are among the best in sports tourism and I am humbled to represent Knoxville on a national level.”

These leaders will be recognized in front of their peers at Connect Sports Virtual on Sept. 9, 2020.
