Knoxville, TN - 3,000 pre-1983 street rods, muscle cars, custom cars, trucks and specialty vehicles will carry 11,000 plus participants from all over the South Eastern United States and farther to attend this super automotive extravaganza.  

According to Jerry Kennedy, Special Events Director for the National Street Rod Association, The Street Rod Nationals South Plus is annually the largest automotive event in the region and will welcome all cars and trucks thirty years of age and older to join a full weekend of rodding fun.  The combination car show, trade show, and crafts fair will not only feature over 3,000 beautifully painted and chromed rods, customs, muscle cars and specialty vehicles to view, but commercial exhibits, vintage parts swap meet, arts and crafts fair, kids make-n-take, live entertainment during the day and night time too, Sunday worship service, plus games, food, and fun for the whole family.  The Street Rod Nationals South Plus is a huge outdoor event with all vehicles on display at least 30 years old in manufacture.

The NSRA Super Prize program returns too, with more than $76,000.00 in Super Prize giveaways presented to lucky participants throughout the weekend, plus the NSRA SUNDAY $WEEP$TAKE$ and   All for the participants compliments of the National Street Rod Association.

This event generates an annual income of 19,000,000.00 dollars to the Knoxville economy, and according to NSRA officials, has contributed over 240,000,000,00 dollars to Knox County since the event came here in 1984.
