Knoxville, TN – Beginning September 27 and 28, 2014, the Knoxville Museum of Art will show Richard Jolley: Larger than Life every Saturday and Sunday at 3pm.

The 30-minute documentary, filmed and produced by Jupiter Entertainment, begins in 2009 as Richard Jolley began work on what would become Cycle of Life, Within the Power of Dreams and the Wonder of Infinity.  Not wanting such a huge achievement for Richard and East Tennessee to go undocumented, Jupiter Entertainment – at no cost to the museum – sent cameras to film the project from inception through to completion. For five years Jupiter followed Richard as he worked to design a universal piece for the Knoxville Museum of Art, even sending a crew to Venice to document Richard’s exhibition there in 2011. The resulting short film reveals not only the complex process behind creating such a huge yet delicate piece, but also Richard’s journey to become a world-renowned glass artist.

The KMA wishes to thank Jupiter Entertainment for the gift of this film and Regal Entertainment Group for donating the new projection equipment that made these showings possible.

Viewings at the KMA will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 3pm. Larger than Life on DVD is available for purchase for $15 in the KMA Museum Shop.
