Knoxville, TN – Our Daily Bread Ministries is pleased to be bringing The Power Up Sports Ministry Conference to Knoxville again. The one day conference aims to provide encouragement, training, and resources to those serving in sports related ministries. Top sports ministry leaders will be in attendance to help people gain insight and confidence in reaching out to the men and women of sport. The event is March 1st at Cedar Springs Presbyterian Church.

This Ministry Conference is open to the public including anyone interested in learning more about sports ministry. Chaplains, coaches, athletic directors and athletes are all invited.

Power Up Sports Ministry Conferences began in 2001 with one annual event in the Great Lakes region, then known as Chaplain Roundtable. It quickly grew to a second event in Indianapolis in 2005 and those two events were annual gatherings until 2015 when Our Daily Bread Ministries brought the concept on board as an official outreach of this worldwide ministry. Power Up Sports Ministry Conferences are now held annually in Knoxville, Houston, Grand Rapids and Indianapolis bringing together sports ministry leaders for a day of encouragement, fellowship, networking and prayer.

Knoxville Power Up begins March 1st at 9am with keynote speaker Mark Mitchell-chaplain with the San Francisco Giants. This will be followed by two workshops led by FCA chaplains Jill Nash and Dave Gittings, Jr. The 2017 Knoxville Panel Discussion features Carson Newman coaches Suzanne Strudwick (Ladies Golf) and Nick Reveiz-former Tennessee Vol Line-backer. Also joining us will be Brent Salde-FCA Baseball coordinator in Atlanta, Bill Poirier-His Kingdom Golf and David Wildman of Adventure Sports Ministries.
