Knoxville, TN. – Knoxville is ready for its close up. Visit Knoxville is proud to announce the launch of a new website for the Knoxville Film Office. Filmknoxvilletn.com is a resource for production companies and includes a database supported by ReelScout.com and the Tennessee Film Commission.
“I look forward to letting production companies know what Knoxville has to offer,” said Film Office Director Curt Willis. “We have so much talent in this community, along with beautiful locations and great support from the city and county governments, which makes Knoxville an ideal filming location.”
Filmknoxvilletn.com will allow the local and international film community a chance to scout locations, find out what incentives are offered and connect with people willing to work on their production. The site also has one stop shopping for permit forms and insurance requirements. Community members and crew professionals alike will be able to promote their skills and contributions to the industry through the site.
“Our Film Office provides us with a unique way to promote Knoxville and Knox County and drive revenue for a number of industries. Since its debut just six months ago, the office has assisted and supported 19 projects that have been filmed here,” says Kim Bumpas, president of Visit Knoxville. “We are very proud of the new film website and what it will do to expand our reach to a new audience.”
The mission of the Visit Knoxville Film Office is to strengthen Knoxville’s economy through the promotion of the city as a premiere filming location. By attracting media companies to Knoxville through the marketing of locations, services and talent, the Film Office will generate exposure for Knoxville and the surrounding area.
Visit Knoxville (Knoxville Convention and Visitors Bureau) is the official CVB for the City of Knoxville and Knox County. Visit Knoxville is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, private company that works together with the community, business leaders and local and state government to further develop Knoxville as a premier leisure, meetings and travel destination.
