Knoxville, TN - The Bijou Theatre will host our annual open house Thursday, August 27 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tours of Knoxville’s most historic theatre will be available throughout the night. The event is free and open to the public. Food and drinks will be served on the U.S. Cellular Stage at the Bijou Theatre alongside live entertainment from some of Knoxville’s hometown favorites.

We’ll also kick off our fall membership campaign for our Friends of the Bijou membership program, which supports the ongoing preservation of the Bijou Theatre as well as providing a unique venue for artists and musicians. Annual memberships start at $100 and include advance ticket notifications and purchase privileges for shows at the Bijou Theatre, in addition to waived ticket fees. The historic Bijou Theatre has been a staple of downtown Knoxville for over 100 years. Next year, the Lamar House will enter its 200th year on the corner of Gay and Cumberland Aves and the Bijou will celebrate the 10-year anniversary of our 2006 re-opening. It’s a great time to join the Bijou community and we hope you will consider supporting Knoxville’s most historic Theatre!

The Bijou Theatre is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving Knoxville’s most historic theatre and providing a unique venue for the next generation of artists and musicians. For more information, please visit www.KnoxBijou.com.
