Knoxville, Tenn. – A number of Knoxville’s finest gourmet food trucks will converge together to form the Southern Railway Station Food Truck Park and Market, Knoxville’s first, on First Friday, April 4th at Blue Slip Winery at the Historic Southern Railway Station.

"We are excited to bring Knoxville’s food trucks to the station all at one time in this setting,” said Blue Slip Winery President Linn Slocum. “Food trucks have exploded across the country because of the convenience, the diversity in choices and, of course, because the food is extremely good.”

The food truck park, modeled after Food Park’s in Houston, Atlanta, Austin and Dallas will feature seven of the eleven food trucks currently licensed to serve in the City of Knoxville, as well as The Vagabond mobile boutique. Food trucks include Breezy Weenie, Farm to Griddle Crepes, Forks on the Road, Gonzo Gourmet, Poutine Mobile, Savory and Sweet, and Tootsie Truck. Live music will be provided, along with Blue Slip wine tasting and tours of the Historic Southern Railway Station and Old Smokey Railway Museum.

A calendar and links to all the licensed food trucks can be found at www.knoxvillefoodtrucks.com and a list of wines at www.blueslipwinery.com.

Slocum concluded, “Blue Slip Winery puts on a lot of our own events from live music and comedy events to dinner theatres and we always use the food trucks because of the convenience and the demand for them. It really is a blessing to have them around and this setting will allow the people of Knoxville the opportunity to experience them all at one time."

The Southern Railway Station Food Truck Park and Market will begin during First Friday festivities, April 3 at 6:30pm at the Historic Southern Railway Station located at 306 W. Depot Avenue. The event is sponsored and produced by Blue Slip Winery and CFC Strategies.
