Hundreds of gamers will compete for $5,000 in cash prizes at the StarCityGames.com “Magic: The Gathering” Premier Invitational Qualifier team tournament at the Knoxville Convention Center on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. Members of the top four teams in Knoxville’s Premier Invitational Qualifier tournament will qualify for a Star City Games Invitational offering $50,000 in cash prizes.

“Magic: The Gathering” is the largest gaming brand in the United States and has been the largest and most popular collectible card game in the world since its introduction in 1993. “Magic: the Gathering” has millions of players worldwide.

 StarCityGames.com is headquartered in Roanoke, Virginia, and is the world's largest “Magic: The Gathering” store. The StarCityGames.com Open Series is the world's largest independent “Magic: The Gathering” tournament circuit, awarding more than $1 million in cash prizes annually, along with Invitational Qualifiers and In-Store Play programs for game stores all over the world.

Entry fees are $40 per player ($120 per three-player team). Registration lasts from 8-8:50 a.m. and the tournament will begin at 9 a.m. in Convention Center Ballroom A, B and C.
