Knoxville, Tenn. – Girls on the Run of Greater Knoxville will be hosting a pre-race pasta dinner to celebrate the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon on March 28 from 7 – 9 pm at the Holiday Inn World’s Fair Park and features a full Italian buffet and cash bar.
Dinner will include tossed salad, Caesar salad, chicken marsala, penne pasta with a choice of meat or marinara sauce, grilled vegetables, dinner rolls with butter, desserts, and a selection of coffee and iced tea.
The evening will also feature Antone Davis as the guest speaker. Davis will discuss his personal revelations about health and pressures that come from images in our society. Davis is the head of the University of Tennessee’s Vol for Life program, former NFL player, and former contestant on The Biggest Loser. He will begin speaking at 7:15 pm.
Ticket price for adults is $20 and cost for children 12 and under is $10. Space is limited and tickets should be purchased in advance of March 28. The registration link can be found at www.knoxvillemarathon.com on the main page. Tickets will be available at the door as space allows.
The pasta dinner will be a fundraiser for Girls on the Run of Greater Knoxville (GOTRGK). Girls on the Run® is a transformational physical activity based positive youth development program for girls in 3rd–8th grade. Locally, GOTRGK hosts 20 program sites.
