The Guild was founded in 1966 in Oak Ridge and boasts some of the state of Tennessee’s finest artisans as its members. The variety and quality in our members’ work will astound you. Our group incorporated the Foothills Craft Guild in 1968 chartering it as an educational, non-profit corporation. Our organization comprises of over 280 craft artists living and working in Tennessee. We are committed to preserving and promoting craft traditions in the state by; educating the public about the value of fine, hand-crafted objects, sponsoring workshops and craft demonstrations whenever possible, and promoting the work of our members by hosting shows and other promotional avenues. Member benefits include, but not limited to, exhibiting in an established fall show that is identifiable by the community; exhibition opportunities throughout the year in other venues; easy to navigate and secure website access for members; social media links between the Guild website and member’s website; promotion opportunities on tv and radio for upcoming shows; advertising with photos of your work on mailers, brochures, website and others; monthly newsletter, notification of special opportunities, networking opportunities; scholarship fund that is available to assist members and the community to take the “next level” of classes, and MORE!
