KNOXVILLE, TN - The first annual Tri-Star Junior Golf Championship will take place July 6-8, 2018 at Three Ridges Golf Course in Knoxville, TN. In conjunction with the Tennessee Golf Foundation and the Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee PGA, the Tri-Star provides Tennessee's junior golfers a competitive golf experience unrivaled by any other tournament in the state. The event is a three-day junior golf event positioned around three true championships: Pro-Junior Championship, Match Play Championship and a 36-hole Stroke Play Championship.

The Knoxville Chapter of the Tennessee PGA and the Tennessee Golf Foundation teamed with the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission to bring a Pro-Junior golf tournament to East Tennessee.

“We’re excited to host this event in Knoxville,” said Chad Culver, Senior Director of the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission. “Knoxville has several high-quality golf courses, and Three Ridges is no exception. This tournament is the perfect opportunity for youth players to compete at a high level tournament instead of state championships.”

The event is unique in that it will host three true championships in one tournament: Pro-Junior, Junior Match Play and Junior Stroke Play. Tennessee PGA professionals and junior golfers ages 10-18 will be participating in the tournament. The event is open to the public.

Schedule of Events:
Friday, July 6 – Pro-Junior
Saturday, July 7 – Day 1 of Match Play and Day 1 of Stroke Play
Sunday, July 8 – Day 2 of Match Play and Day 2 of Stroke Play
