Knoxville, TN – The first annual Southeast Mega Camp will take place July 30-31, 2018 at the Lindsey Nelson Stadium at the University of Tennessee. This camp will be the tenth event for College Baseball Group, LLC since their inception in fall of 2017. This event will provide high school baseball players opportunities to connect and interact with college baseball coaches through focused, high energy camp settings. There is a fee for admission for the camp, however our goal is to connect student-athletes to prospective coaches who can potentially provide offers and/or scholarships to play collegiate baseball.
“We’re pleased to see this event hosted in Knoxville,” said Chad Culver, Senior Director of the Visit Knoxville Sports Commission. “The University of Tennessee’s Lindsey Nelson Stadium is a prime location for this camp.”
All high school student-athletes interested in playing collegiate baseball are invited to participate in the Southeast Mega Camp. This camp is open to any and all paying participants. Spectators (parents, family, coaches, scouts, etc.) who would like to attend are welcome to view the event.
Hosted at the beautiful Lindsey Nelson Stadium, this camp will provide high school athletes the opportunity to play on the University of Tennessee’s home field, where greats such as Todd Helton played. The focus of these camps is on instruction and interaction between coaches and players. Players receive the opportunity to be instructed by some of the game’s brightest young coaches and unparalleled exposure.
“College Baseball Group would like to thank the city of Knoxville, the University of Tennessee, and Coach Vitello for their hospitality,” said Kevin Small, CEO of College Baseball Group. “Thanks are due as well to our lodging partner Hotel Knoxville by Marriott for providing great rates to traveling ball players, coaches, and their families. We look forward to hosting an instructive event and hope that all participants take advantage of their opportunity to connect with and learn from the amazing coaches we have brought to the University of Tennessee for this special event.”
