Knoxville, TN- Join the Friends of Chilhowee Park to help beautify Chilhowee Park in the heart of East Knoxville. Residents, students, and neighbors will join together to plant daylilies around the grounds to celebrate Earth Day and the community green spaces that this East Knoxville park has to offer. If you have garden tools, (hand picks or trowels) please bring them to help. This is the first step of many to help revitalize the already beautiful park and to invite all community members to enjoy the many amenities it has to offer. Afterwards, come share the new picnic facilities, 3-acre Lake Ottosee, Marble Bandstand, 4500 seat amphitheater, 57,100 sq. ft. exhibition hall, barns, and arenas. Enjoy the view with other volunteers and spend time celebrating Chilhowee Park.

Please join us anytime between 3:00pm and 6:00 pm on Tuesday, April 21st. Meet at the new picnic shelter near the Fifth Avenue/Beaman Street gate. Chilhowee Parks' address is 3301 East Magnolia Avenue, 37914.

The Friends are partnering with the Chilhowee and Parkridge Neighborhood Associations, The Muse, East Tennessee Quality Growth, Keep Knoxville Beautiful, Knox Heritage and UT’s Project Grad. Special thanks to the City of Knoxville and Oakes Daylilies.
