ATLANTA (November 28, 2016) – For the 2nd year in a row, Candlewood Suites-Knoxville hotel received the IHG® (InterContinental Hotels Group) 2016 Quality Excellence Award, given to hotels achieving distinction in all aspects of their operations. Out of a global portfolio of more than 4,900 hotels, only 75 hotels reached this designation in the Americas.

The Candlewood Suites-Knoxville was one of the area’s first extended stay hotels in the West Knoxville market when it opened in 1997. The hotel staff, led by General Manager Bart Pemberton, Operations Manager Trish Cisco Sherrod and Director of Sales Dawn Lassiter, has over 200 years of combined experience in the hospitality industry. “This award is directly attributed to the hard work and dedication of our long-tenured staff, and the excellence in which they perform their jobs every day,” said Pemberton. “When our corporate and extended stay guests come back to Candlewood, they know they’ll receive the same great service and quality, from the same familiar faces, they’ve seen each time they stay at Candlewood Suites-Knoxville,” Pemberton added.
