KNOXVILLE, TENN. – Each summer, Knox Heritage invites residents of the Knoxville area to dine in a historic home or scenic property in its popular series of fundraising events known as Summer Suppers.  Imaginative and delightful, Summer Suppers unfold in exceptional historic locations across the region. The hosts of the suppers create the distinctive themes and provide guests with an amazing array of food and entertainment. From intimate gatherings to outdoor feasts, Summer Suppers provide an entire season of entertainment to hundreds of attendees.

The 2014 Summer Suppers are made possible by our generous sponsors: Home Federal Bank, Johnson & Galyon Construction, Pilot/Flying J, North South Productions, All Occasions Party Rentals, HGTV, Dixie Kitchen, Robin Easter Design, C. Randall De Ford Architecture, WBIR-TV, WUOT 91.9, and Comcast.

Knox Heritage encourages anyone who appreciates fine dining, enjoys touring historic properties, or who wants to know more about historic preservation to attend one of these signature events. This year’s complete lineup features twelve suppers, ten in Knox County and two in other East Tennessee counties. All ticket sales support the work of Knox Heritage and the East Tennessee Preservation Alliance.

Here are the suppers with tickets still remaining:

City Slickers Urban Wilderness Experience: Saturday, June 7 at 5:00 p.m. – Join us for a sampling of just a few of the activities available at Outdoor Knoxville. The evening begins at the Outdoor Knoxville headquarters along the Tennessee River where you’ll pick up gourmet trail mix and water to fortify you for your venture into the Urban Wilderness. You’ll have your choice of three adventures. You can take a bike tour along the river – bikes provided – or go on a walking tour of historic downtown sites or just stay put and enjoy the scenery and a paddle boat demonstration on the river. Afterwards, you’ll return to Outdoor Knoxville for appetizers and a buffet dinner by the waterfall as the sun sets over the city.

Street Fare at Emory Place: Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 p.m. – Escape the crowds of Market Square for a magical evening on the other market square. Sample the generous offerings of Knoxville’ favorite food trucks and be delighted by street performers and live music while partaking of beer and wine. Dance the night away to live music under the stars and bask in the glow of twinkling lights in your own private piazza.
